About Me

Things you always wanted to know about me, and never dared to ask.

Things you always wanted to know about me, and never dared to ask.

For about four years I have been spending my life here in São Paulo, Brazil, together with my lovely wife Marcia and my son Constantin. Mainly I work as an illustrator, sometimes I develop websites and/or other software.

You can download my (IT-centric) cv here .

Constantin und I

I was born in 1970, in Vienna, where I spent my entire childhood. After leaving college, I studied history of arts for quite a while. The the travel-fever got the better part of me and my trips led me to places, such as China, India, Pakistan, Syria, Jordania and – who would have guessed – Brazil.

After this period of lenghty travels I started to work as a manager of the development unit of a medium sized web agency in Vienna. There I was responsilble for the deployment of a few reasonably large sites (Nestlé, Citroën, VA Tech, among others).

Whenever I had time I ddicated myself to my other passis, which included painting, directing movies or plays, acting, designing of flyers and covers and my first experiments with comics.

In the meantime I had married and my wife Marcia wanted to go back to Brazil for a while, so I quit, bought plane tickets and we settled here in São Paulo.

Marcia and I

Here, I spend some time in a science project at the Universidade de São Paulo, evaluating development processes for software factories.

At one point it became clear to me, that my future lied in the area I dreamed of, since I was a little kid – Comics and Illustration.
